In May 2008, the European Region of the WCPT, ER-WCPT, elected Austria to host the 3rd European Congress on Physiotherapy Education of the European Region. The first two Education Congresses took place in Estoril, Portugal (2004) and Stockholm, Sweden (2008).

Physio Austria, the Association of Austrian Physiotherapists, will be responsible for the organisation of this 3rd European Congress on Physiotherapy Education in November 2012 in Vienna.
